I don’t see how “reopening growth plates” will be a thing in adults. As growth plates don’t actually close like a door. They simply convert into regular bone tissue. Unless scientists plan to create growth plates with stems cells or something and them cut through the ends long bones and implant the fabricated growth plate cartilage into them. Just doesn’t sound like a viable or safe option.
