i know many people use pc for hours, maybe even 10+ hrs. typing is the most important skill of using pc: no matter if you game, use computer for work, trying to do researches or ask questions on the internet.
i practice my typing for 30 minutes everyday, planning to do 1 minute more with each day until 1 hour/day after 30 day training. here are my results of speedtyping for less than a month
so, why is it beneficial?
1. Basic economy of the time
i'm pretty sure results from the start gonna grow exponentially in 30 days. you gonna write your thoughts more precisely and faster. also, probably you won't even look at keyboard, usually called as blind typing. therefore, the faster you can type the faster your work gonna be on PC, and you're gonna have more time for something else.
2. Developing focus
this section for undiagnosed ADHD like me who can't get their shit done in one run, with no switching to social media, youtube etc.
start is always really hard to get done, i barely managed to not switch page and close tab at first try. but with time it became like a habit, i usually do it without music to increase focus, tbh it only makes my results worse. also when you misstrike a key, your visual cortex and your fingertips instantly signal a mistake to your anterior cingular cortex, it's the brain's internal alarm, that sends signals when encountering an error, and it makes your brain toned during session.
3. Brain defragmentation
intense sensorimotor tasks force the brain to suppress background noise. by typing at high-speed, your brain starts deactivating Default Mode Network, responsible for planning, thinking about the past and mind-wandering overall. for geeks, this can be used sort of meditation, if regular methods doesn't work.

4. Boosting of prefrontal cortex
when you are a beginner typist, your prefrontal cortex is overloaded just to find the key or correct a mistake. as you transition into a speedtyper, the brain hands this mechanical task over to the cerebellum and basal ganglia, these regions are responsible for motor control and muscle memory.
Studies using functional MRI scans show that proficient typists demonstrate reduced brain activation in motor control regions while typing, indicating that the skill has become so ingrained it requires minimal conscious attention.
despite the benefits of speedtyping, it's still not superior than using a pen, especially when trying to memorize notes
thanks for everyone who read the whole post and good luck for everyone who is trying it out
