Why wouldn't you want to go to college or get a job?

Kids do it cuz they may not be academically and/or emotionally ready for life after high school.

Yeah but you can't just hide from your problems.

Why would you want to retard your development.

I'd say nobody is ready for anything they just deal with whatever comes and try to prepare themselves for what they need to do.

But if everyone waited until they were ready they'd never do anything because it would always be something else they need to get ready for before they are ready for what they were trying to avoid.
