About to schedule to get my braces next week. anything i should know before?

They use empower braces which is similar to damon where they both use self ligating brackets/doors, i have a class ii deep bite and my upper teeth cover 90% of my lower ones. They are going to use class II elastics/rubber bands and i think a bite ramp/plane. they said it would get worse at first cause they will straighten top teeth and then it will get better and even out, im really scared and need some insightful tips, if this is what i should be getting etc PICS OF MY TEETH DOWN BELOW

This seems like a good plan. To level out your teeth your front teeth must first align and tilt a little outward to make room for lower brackets. This might create a larger gap between front and bottom teeth it’s just temporary. Bite Ramps are just to prevent knocking the brackets off. Class II elastics just pull top teeth back and bottom forward.

Elastics aren’t the best. But I would suggest trusting your ortho. Keep in mind he or she went to school for this.
