people are too lazy
you have to learn on your own and actually remember things. depending on where you are, the job market is huge for a reason. most people don’t think about working in cybersec, and even when they do, they never end up biting the bullet.

I’ll look into, how does it work? You get like an online degree or something? I’m Canadian so hopefully the job market ain’t cooked, worst case scenario I don’t mind moving to US

hardware is just the extreme basics, what a router is, what a NIC is, what the standardized ram format for laptops is etc.
networking is crucial so be prepared to spend a lot of time learning
