The cradle of Western civilization is the Mediterranean. If you go too north (Scandinavia), or too south (sub-Saharan Africa), there's nothing but cultural darkness.

While nordicists and afrocentists are a pain in the ass, mediterranists are not far behind.

The past is the past, we can learn from them, but we can't live in the past.

Nowadays the most advanced European countries are Germanics, same for the New World ones: USA >>>> Brazil; Canada >>>> Argentina; Australia >>>> Chile; New Zealand >>>> Mexico.

Most Med countries are nothing special today.

Greece? Portugal? Italy (only the northern half is on par with Germanic countries), Spain (one of the best, alongside Italy), Egypt? Morocco?...

I thought it’s Middle East
Mesopotamia, the area between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers (in modern day Iraq), is often referred to as the cradle of civilization because it is the first place where complex urban centers grew.

Mesopotamia is the cradle of civilization. The Mediterranean is the cradle of western civilization.
The Roman empire or whatever you're referring to is barely even western. The cradle of western civilization either has its roots in Christianity or England
