I want to start by saying, accutane is 100%worth it if you have terrible acne,It saved me completely. But I noticed, after taking accutane,I started seeing my bonemass decrease. Some people can call me delusional, but I have photo proofs about it. I saw a lot of decrease, mainly in my jaw, wrists and a lot more places. I don't know if there's any science behind proving this, but be careful with taking it for prolonged times,as I experienced this, even tho after starting I purposely consumed more calcium and still lost bonemass.
After stopping accutane 5 weeks ago,I started noticing minor but visible changes in my bone area, bones started to grow again. It can be because of puberty still as I am still 18,but I didnt experience anything like this in the 1 and a half years of taking it so it is probably in connection to that.
Accutane also gave me terrible liver problems, but that's for another thread. Hope I could help some of you.

This is stupid, bone mass doesn't shrink your bone it just reduces the mineral density inside the bones.

I got liver problems for it suppressed testosterone from it and bone mass decrease from it. It helped me with acne a ton but I would never take it again

As I said im not a scientist I just talked about what I've seen and experienced. But my bones were smaller during that time ik that for a fact.

anything below 0.5 mg/kg/day should have minimal side effects and over 1 mg/kg/day you are at a much higher of everything

ik its common knowledge, but I don't think any of the side effects listed in the studies document lower bone mass. might just be less volume in your skin since when I took it my face got much more defined (everything nose too) despite not losing a proportionate amount of fat

have your parents commented on your bone mass? if not it might be in your head/not noticeable to others. has your weight changed?

Maybe because of suppressed testosterone my bones felt smaller idek man Im just convinced they were smaller during that time. You can be right tho,im not a scientist I just wrote down what I've ecperienced in hopes of helping someone

Yeah my parents were the first to tell me how my face became really slim during that time. That's why im convinced tbf

yeah my parents also said that when I took it. I had only lost maybe 5-6 lb while I was on it (from gymcelling) of body fat but I basically lost most of my facial fat/excess volume. before I took it my face was fatter than my body (despite having 20%+ bf) now my face looks leaner than my body at 16%ish.

30 mg per day. it stopped getting slimmer 2 months in but when u stop it it'll get a bit fat but it'll still be smaller than before.

I had a super big/very bulbous/oily nose before with a lot of blackheads. I think it's because it shrinks your pores and my pores were so enlarged for some reason that it worked

yeah i have that too, guess i should up my dosage

if all your blackheads on ur nose have been pushed out ur wasting ur time and risking long term eye issues

or if your face has already deflated a lot from the anti inflammatory effect it won't work

I would check pics tbh cuz I didn't notice until I lined up 2 pics and switched between them. I also measured and saw that it shrunk (people have randomly asked if I had a nose job done)
