I have been on Accutane for about a week (20 mg a day), and for the last 2–3 days I’ve been waking up bloated asf. The swelling under my eyes is so bad that it even feels uncomfortable to look down, if that makes sense. Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you solve it?

It’s not just a feeling I genuinely look like I gained 10 kg of fat overnight. Is there anything I can do to at least reduce the swelling even a bit?
Yes, you can take immediate steps to reduce facial swelling by focusing on fluid drainage, cooling treatments, and hydration.

cold compresses: Apply a cold washcloth or ice pack wrapped in a towel for 10 minutes.

Ice rolling: Gently roll a chilled facial roller across your face to constrict blood vessels.

Cold plunges: Submerge your face in a bowl of ice water for a few seconds at a time.

This is to do as soon as you wake up from sleeping

The next thing would be lymphatic drainage techniques:

Lymphatic massage: Gently stroke your skin from the center...
Accutane (isotretinoin) can cause your face to feel bloated or puffy. While not the most common side effect, facial swelling (facial edema) is medically documented and can occur due to fluid retention or localized inflammation during your treatment course.

basically, is temporal

The next thing would be lymphatic drainage techniques:

Lymphatic massage: Gently stroke your skin from the center of your face outward toward your ears and neck.

Use slick product: Always apply a gentle, Accutane-safe moisturizer before massaging to prevent skin tearing.

Elevate your head: Use an extra pillow tonight to let gravity naturally drain fluid away from your face.

And the last thing would be to adjust your diet a little:

Drink more water: Flush out excess sodium by staying consistently hydrated throughout the day.

Cut the salt: Avoid high-sodium foods, which cause your body to hold onto water weight.

Skip alcohol: Avoid drinks that dehydrate your system and trigger widespread inflammation
