Accutane for 5 weeks?

Hi my friend had a accutane prescription but it ended now. He has 5x 20mg pills that he doesnt need anymore, should i do one a week or is it a waste of time? Ive been on another retinol for a couple of months now thats called adapalen+ benz peroxide.
