accutane purge

When I was 13y I was on accutane (20mg) for 8 months in July 2023. I got a very bad purge, my skin being the worst I have ever had in the first month.
After some good weeks I started seeing progress and in March 2024 I was left only with the marks.
From there I used only some topicals without doing much for my skin.

In 2025 my acne started coming back so at the begining of this year, on 20 January I started another accutane journey with the same dose I used before, after 9 days I cant see a single pimple on my face but only on my neck.

I need to mention that I take some omega 3 and have a slightly good diet.

I wanna see yall opinion and see if maybe I wont get any purge this time.

If you research it, only 30% of users will experience a purge. Because you are older now, probably without deep cystic acne, I would presume that you will not experience a purge. What dose are you on right now?

Purge only lasts for a week or 2 in my experience. U might get a purge if ur starting accutane again

If Up the dosage to like 40 or something u will get a purge
