ever since on accutane, every single thing I have applied on my face has damaged my barrier (even aloe vera gel grown in my back garden jfl, mostly because it has natural amounts of salicylic acid). I started using this korean skincare cream (lion acne repair cream on some spots, and I would get more inflammatory spots even though its considered a very mild acne cream. What are peoples experiences with topical skincare whilst on accutane, because my skin is the most sensitive it has ever been!

consider using avene moisturizer or a topical specefically that can be used with treatments like accutane. also conisder cleansers with salycylic acid or anything extreme like that because those things are typically pretty abd for you, since your skin is already having its sebacious glands essentially producing less oil, and the acid itself is doing the same, which in turn makes your skin terra flakey and have giga acne issues

if your lips are dry as a bitch GET dr.dans it honestly saved my life idk how i was tolerating that pain. for skin i wouldn’t use many products other than a good sunscreen and possibly a moisturizer. also what’s your dose and when did you start?

when ur lips get really dry apply aquaphor or vaseline right before you sleep and when you wake up they will be pretty much healed and smooth

I only use a cerave cleanser, la Roche posay triple-repair lotion and aquaphor. La Roche posay lotion is my favorite item

I’ve been fine using benzo while on 1 mg/kg, I just make sure to apply it at evening and then a moisturizer in the morning because it does dry me out considerably

I use Biore UV Aqua Rich SPF 50 pa++++(blocks both uva/uvb radiation) unlike normal sunscreens aswell as being a mixed moisturizer

Use a moisturizer that doesnt have anything active that hurts like hell, i use the Neutrogena Hydro Boost w hyaluronic acid (i love ts)

And for cleanser I use La Roche-Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser(any gentle foaming cleanser works fine)

AM-(cleanse)(sometimes) -Sunscreen always
PM-(cleanse)-moisturizer
thats it
and aquaphor for lips 100% nothing beats that imo
