I’ve been thinking about hopping on accutane, I struggled with cystic acne for a while but got put on a medication to get rid of it my skin still isn’t clear and still get the occasional acne breakouts. Is it worth doing 40mg for 4-6 months? Also heard it can shrink your nose and give you fuller lips so that’s another incentive.

I'd love to have a chat with the fella who started all these rumors that Accutane accentuates multiple different features of your face instead of just clearing up acne.

I think it’s some tiktok rumor lol . Probably comes from the fact that some people have acne on their nose so when acne leaves, nose gets “slimmer”

I have only heard of shrinking nose due to the pores so probably very minimal difference, havent heard anything about lips

Preciate it probably gonna just wait out my acne then I know accutane is harsh anyway wasn’t even a medication to treat acne when it first came out

Like 160-165
personally I weigh about the same and I just recently hopped on accutane followed by a dermathologist and I'm taking 20mg for about 6 months maybe more if my skin decides to be more of a bitch.
a dose higher than that would apparently and obviously increase by quite a lot the negative effects

Yes you should i had it for 2 years tried every thing and accutane works and i have seen a little bit of my nose shrinking but for any one with acne i would 100% recommend it.

How long has it been since you started? Also have you experienced any side effects like joint pain or dryness in your eyes, lips, etc.?

it's been about 2 weeks so pretty recent but I already have pretty dry eyes and lips which i expected, however nothing such as joint pain

Has your nose gone back to its original size? Or has it stayed pretty much the same since hopping off?

Definitely will make sure last thing I want to ask is have you experienced any noticeable differences with you hair I’ve heard experiences where people’s hairline recede slightly while on it and their hair becomes very dry and unhealthy due to it. Have you experienced anything like this so far?
