If I was on 20,30,40,40,40 mg if I go on 60 will I ‘purge’ or is that just propaganda. Still getting acne and not side affects are not bad + reading cumulative dosage would be quicker and I don’t really wanna be on accutane during the summer, thoughts?

Prolly not if you didnt get a purge on 40. normally you only get a purge within a week or two of starting Accutane.

By definition purging can't really last for more than a skin cycle. Also 60mg is still nothing of a daily dose, it is easily tolerable. Just hydrate and take your omega 3.

No problem, also cumulative dosing is a bit outdated. The ideal treatment should involve you clearing your skin, and then going for at least 2 months with clear skin, but ideally around 3.

you think

Okay bet, my derm told me I should go at least 2 months without any pimples but I just occasionally get some. For the future outlook/prevent relapse do you think 60mg would just be more beneficial then 40? Like I just do 60 for a couple more months instead of doing 40 for however?

It is up to you, usually your daily dose should include some side effects. But it is fairly well understood that higher dose = worse side effects but quicker treatment. For relapse it doesn't matter, just need 2-3 months of clear skin. Going on a longer treatment length/high cumulative dose can result in permanent side effects.
