accutane

Sunscreen isn't some magic that stops working just because you're on iso. At 40 mg your skin is paper thin and you're pumping out almost zero oil, so you're just more sensitive to UV. Use a high SPF, reapply, avoid frying yourself. The only thing that changes on accutane is your burn threshold, not the physics of UV.does sunscreen even work past 40mg?

SPF works the same whether you're on 10mg or 80mg of iso – UV rays don't care about your dose. Accutane thins your skin and dries you out, so you're much more photosensitive and will burn and peel easier. A 40mg course isn't a free pass to lay in the sun; use a high SPF 50+ and reapply, wear a hat, or just stay out of midday sun if you want to avoid hyperpigmentation and scars. Genes still dictate how your skin handles it. Talk to your derm instead of relying on bro-science.
