I used to have pretty severe acne — I was getting a new pimple almost every day. At first I thought it was just hormones, but I started to doubt that since I’m the only one in my family who dealt with it.
Over time, I changed my diet quite a bit. I reduced carbs, sugar, and most seed oils, and started eating mainly meat, dairy products, eggs, and some honey when I wanted something sweet.
After the first week (which felt a bit rough), I started noticing less inflammation and fewer breakouts. My skin isn’t perfect, but the improvement has been significant.
For skincare, I also simplified things a lot — I mostly just rinse with water and avoid overusing products, which seems to help in my case.
I’m not saying this will work for everyone, but diet definitely made a noticeable difference for me.
