Try getting prescribed accutane and start skincare

Apply salicylic acid + niasinamid tonic every other day. Continue with benzoyl perox on outbreaks, keep your diet clean with enough water, use acne specific sunscreen on days you are out.

Do you have hair loss? Finasteride will help with hair and skin.

If not, take tretinoin/ differine / taz in the evening and azelaic acid in the morning. Moisturize.

If nothing helps, accutane.

finasteride blocks the type II (and to a lesser extent, type III) enzyme responsible for converting testosterone to dht. it’s not as potent in the sebaceous glands because those rely more on type I 5α-reductase, which finasteride doesn’t block well. dutasteride is better in that regard as it blocks type I too.
