It’s such an insanely freeing mindset if you can internalize it

Yes, I am probably THE BEST example of this on the ENTIRE FORUM -- and thus the most LOW INHIB user as well.

Paradoxical
But everyone is basically an ‘active nihilist’ tbh
Well, I couldn't even LISTEN to what this FAGGOT was saying with his GOOFY VOICE -- but a good example of real ACTIVE NIHILISM is probably Chief Keef.

Worst mindset, if nothing matters than just rope. Right?
That’s a weak way of thinking.

It’s the opposite. If nothing matters you are free.

You can create your own values and still live and fulfilling life of meaning

It’s the ultimate life affirming philosophy if you have the strength for it. As you’re no longer being limited.

Of course for someone who is weak it’s easier to just have life handed to you.

Why rope? The act of roping itself is pointing. nihilism is just freedom.

It only leads to depression if you are weak minded.

I sorta get it as a Buddhist. But I still disagree

How can you disagree? All I’m saying is some people are able to draw strength from nihilism.

Which is true. Not everyone thinks the same bro? Stop projecting.

I don't disagree with that. Im saying that nihilism is generally not a good type of mindset to have imo. But if it helps bring you peace n whatnot then that's good

Bro it’s not about what’s good. It’s just about the truth:feelsuhh:

It may bring peace to think that tomorrow 100 blonde Stacy’s will barge into my room and let me impregnate them.

And what you’re talking about is passive nihilism which I don’t agree with.

valid, mine schopenhauer
I’m not a big fan of philosophical pessimism.

Schopenhauer views the insatiable nature of the will as inherently negative.

Which is disagree with, I don’t view contentment as being some ultimate good.

Ideally we should be discontent, full of strength and passion.

Existentialism doesn’t deny the existence of subjective meaning.

Obviously if I time traveled and busted a nut over Nietzsches face he’d have a problem with it

I think Schopenhauer's philosophy is somewhat accurate, because it is empirically true, but at the same time it is better not to try to get too involved in the philosopher's pessimism because it can be contagious.

Schopenhauer is right in his determination of the will never being satisfied.

But it’s what is built off of this principle that I disagree with. I don’t view the insatiable nature of the will as showing that life is inherently negative.

I do love Schopenhauer though.

My top five favorite philosophers in order of how much I like them

1.Max Stirner
2.Soren Kierkegaard

1. Agitador Max
2. Sören Kierkegaard
3.Aristóteles
4. Friedrich Nietzsche
5. Schopenhauer

Su Majestad: Albert Camus

Honestly I feel hesitant to mention Nietzsche but it’s so hard not to appreciate him.

The story of tight rope walker in particular stuck with me.

Insanely relatable.

Sinceramente, me da vergüenza mencionar a Nietzsche, pero es muy difícil no apreciarlo.

La historia del equilibrista en particular se me quedó grabada en la memoria.

Increíblemente identificable.
Nietzsche was so misunderstood, his ideas were very radical for his time, he destroyed religion and criticized the flock severely.

Yes, his life was full of loneliness, mental illness, rejection, he was one of the only ones who accepted and said yes to life and suffering.
