Is it because males naturally have flatter profiles and more room for recession

I agree that Mandible recession even if severe is usually not a big falio for them, it can look Neotenous as you said.

However downwards growth and maxillary recession can never look good in women

we see it all the time anyway

Are you just blind
There are so many recessed foids especially their mandibles (decreased meat/hard food consumption and lower androgens?), its just not as bad a failo for them

Many foids have recessed chins
