Acutane and "Norwood Reaper"

I read everywhere that acutane will cause balding so I'll share my experience.

I'm 28 today and I took isothretinoin like 10 years ago because I had a lot of acne.
Yes, 3 months after the treatment I lost a huge quantity of hairs. It wasn't a little more than usual but a lot more, like 400-500 hairs per day : horror movie.
However it was temporary and my hairs completely regrown (it look one year to recover my density).
That's called Telogen Effluvium : you'll shed a huge amount of hairs during 2-3 months. Then it will stop and your hairs will regrow. DHT levels remain the same.
In MPB, you don't necessary lose too much hairs but they do not regrow the way they suppose to do.

Conclusion :

- Will you deal with massive hairs shedding with Acutane? There's a chance, it doesn't happen to everyone

- Will it cause baldness? No

- Will it worsen your MPB (if you have it)? Yes

I never said I had. On the countrary, I shown that I still have thick hairs, 10 years after Acutane

yeah, side effects of isotretinoin are temporary. Get clear skin or die trying

i am currently shedding 10x more than normal. my acne came back 3 days after stopping. i have never smoked/drank alcohol in my life and i havent eaten sugar for half a decade. life sucks

10* more than normal is the ratio I had too. Really creepy, it's like being a cat in summer with less hairs lol

Only 3 days after stopped the treatment? How much time did you take it?

nearly a year, 60mg. i am destined to be a subuhman. i also have rosacea my skin lights up from me merely staring at it in the mirror for a minute or two.
