Acutane help?

I bought 40 pills of acutane, 20mg each, from a friend of mine. My acne is pretty bad and I haven't been able to get it prescribed. Is it worth the risk of taking it? If so how should I dose it?

I take 20mg accutane daily.

I had cystic acne and it completely cleared my skin.

You’ll get side effects fs in my case I got:

• Dry lips and eyes
• back pain
• anhedonia and mental health issues
• scaring

You can solve most of these with mineral moisturizer, 50+ spf, omega 3, Vaseline on lips, vitamin d3 and drinking a TON of water (4L daily in my case).

It’s definitely worth it.

how you should dose it:

1 Week: 20mg Monday and Thursday

2 Week: 20mg Monday Wednesday and Friday

3 week and on: daily or 5x a week.

It’s a long term treatment and you’ll probably get a purge phase, you can’t just quit unless you do 6 months AT THE VERY LEAST.

Kid if you don't have a source that is consistent, don't bother taking accutane, it takes time to work. 40 pills of 20mg is nothing since you need around 8-12g in your system over the whole treatment roughly for full long term effect.

I was but it did basically nothing since accutane slows down collagen production. It only made my hair and nails grow faster but almost nothing skin wise

I worded it wrong, I meant slower scar recovery, which is basically null while on accutane
