adapalene fail or purge? (skincels GTFIH)

i was coupling adapalene with lymecyline (antibiotic) and acne was doing crazy in a short period of time, but as soon as i stopped antibiotics after a week, acne got back and pimples and inflammations became more important. what should i do? go back to antibiotics? or wait for skin to purge? help pls
