Adhd diagnosis help

Fuaaaaaark I finally got diagnosed with adhd (attention deficit is more prevalent). I will be trying methylphenidate today. Do u guys have any tips/experience on how to study on that?

what exactly do YOU want to study tho? if you want study on the drugs itself, Andrew huberman has a podcast with timestamps on how the drugs work and stuff (dont take his advice on foods that could help, be a little skeptical), if you want to know HOW your brain works and more on how adhd affects it, just search Dr K adhd, i found Dr K helpful on me understanding stuff, also How to ADHD is also great. All mentioned sources are on YT btw.

Yeah, they worked very well for me. I don't have any side effects currently except being disgustingly sweaty all the time.
I can recall better what someone was saying and focus on my anatomy questions.
What i also did was downloading page blocking and tab limiter extensions for my browser, so i don't divert my attention too often

imma be honest with you, you just got to force yourself to sit and actually learn to study, what works for me is to do it in pomrodos, start slowly, 25min focused 5 min rest, do it as long as you want, other variations are 45 15, 50 10, obv having your desk itself be distraction free and environment is also necessary, b4 studying have a clear goal and idea of what you need to do, keep all your water stationary or whatever that may require you to move a fuckton on ur desk, put on some music(with no words or lyrics) and just start, slowly you'll build your mind to stop having its attention diverted.
BTW the long-term solution is to master meditation, but if you're currently unmedicated, do start medication; it helps immensely, the imposter syndrome doesnt go for a while dont sweat bout it.
avoid anything highly stimulating in breaks btw, stimulations will fuck up ur alr fucked up attention span( stuff like tik toks, reels, video games etc, anything that gives instant gratification)

Adderall is amphetamine nigga. Methylphenidate is a different drug. Usually the brand is either Concerta or Ritalin, but you can get generic versions as well.
