I noticed that on weekdays my appetite suppression while on reta is insane but on weekends it's only slightly effective I can easily eat outside of a deficit and I have a theory as to why:

Retatrutide might suppress appetite via peripheral satiety and delayed gastric emptying, but ADHD medications modulate central dopaminergic and noradrenergic pathways that determine whether those satiety signals are even mentally registered and acted upon.

I was only taking Concerta XL (methylphenidate) on weekdays.

Basically most fatties overeat due to feeling "mentally" hungry rather than physically, I noticed that while on Reta I would feel full maybe even nauseous but still want to eat.

That's a neurotransmitter issue not an appetite issue, ADHD meds like Adderall, Vyvanse, Concerta, Ritalin might be MORE effective than Reta at appetite suppression in some cases.

TL;DR ADHD meds mog GLP 1s at tackling mental hunger.

Abusing stimulants drugs to kill your appetite is so overkill

just eat less

If it was that easy obesity wouldn't be as common would it

As someone who was formerly obese the issue is using food as a drug to cope with your problems.

GLP1s are great

I agree that ADHD medications are a good food suppressor but they have nothing on GLPs btw I was on the highest dose on concerta so I know. The second I hopped off ADHD I gained around 10kg in 6months which proves that ADHD are good

the entire point of my post was to say GLP 1s won't be as effective as something like methylphenidate in cases like that

It's highly individual stacking both is best but some people just have bad eating habits rather than a huge appetite
