Tajiks- Ethnic group primarily in North Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Speak Farsi, DNA mostly consists of Scythian/saka and BMAC. Some Tajiks are persianised Pashtuns. Pashtuns used to being primary a nomadic group of people some got urbanised and persianised.

Pashtuns- A group of similar ethnic groups. DNA differs vastly between tribes. Pashtuns in KPK aren't Pashtuns but indo Aryan tribes that got pashtunised. DNA most of the time has Scythian/Saka and dardic (dardic in KPK) and Iranian farmer and some have south Asian input.

Not all of them but majority yes, the karlani pashtuns in KPK (Afridi, Wazir, Bangash, Khattak, Turi, Orakzai) are pashtuns but the rest I believe are pashtunised, their DNA matches closer with other dardic ethnicities in the region
