After a marpe tooth gap?

After you get a marpe how would you even fix the tooth gap? I would think braces but i was looking into a marpe and that gap is fucking huge, would braces even fix that?

Not my teeth but im scared of that, it looks crazy but a marpe makes the width so much better

Yeah, braces would usually fix it. The gap looks fucking massive after MARPE because the central incisors get separated during expansion, but it’s generally closed afterward with orthodontic treatment

No 17 isn’t necessarily too late for MARPE since it's mainly used for late adolescents and adults. Usually you’d need a CBCT + ortho evaluation to see if you’re actually a candidate. If you’re suitable, MARPE can potentially be an option before jumping straight to expensive surgical procedures. You could also try putting your tongue in a proper mewing position. If you can’t fit your tongue comfortably against the palate and it feels too narrow, you might have a transverse deficiency, but that’s just a rough guess tbh. Getting a CBCT and having a professional evaluate you would be much more reliable

When i rest my tongue to the top of my mouth the sides of my tongue touch my teeth so idk if i qualify or not but hopefully
