IMO, it really doesn't matter but I do see the female perspective, when you're young you're stupid and impressionable, so probably many women look back at those relationships and feel like they were taken advantage of when they were "less experienced" so they criticize the men they consider the "exploitative".

I also see the guys point, it's ridiculous, they did the same when young because that was a "biological calling" let's put that way, it's not wrong at all for a man to do the opposite once they're older.

Again, IMO, it doesn't matter, let people date whoever they want as long as it's not illegal. I'm 20, so I'd date 2 years below and up to 20 years above or something, I do not give a fuck as long as they're hot.

But from a purely pragmatic point of view neither is wrong.

• Adults can date adults, young adult women can date old men.
• But also yes, we all have to admit that an older man dating a younger less experience woman can be seen as exploitative in some contexts. Women that criticize this behavior do it because they're probably already been there and look behind in disgust, seeing stuff from a more "mature" perspective. You often don't realize how fucked up some shit can be until you're older and more mature, NOT SAYING THAT ALL AGE GAP RELATIONSHIPS ARE EXPLOITATIVE OR WEIRD LIKE THAT, but personally most of the ones I've seen are at least a lil bit weird... It's a strange power dynamic.

Oh yeah, absolutely, personally I have no issues with it, I would date down, I would date up, to me it's all about attraction and legality, although I can see how other people might disagree, but I just choose not to care lol

There's also this thought going on that women mature 2 years early, If same aged couples are 2 years of female maturity then Is 4 year age gap wrong?

there is very little. i used to get some looks with my current gf a few years ago, but that doesn't happen anymore.

i guess some women will be mean to each other over it, but that isn't my problem
