Its a common bluepilled rhetoric that AI makes you dumber, but i feel like if you read the shit it spits out rather than just regurgitating it onto a word doc for school asignments, you can actually learn more, and more effectively than if you were to not use it. its the same shit as people who were opposed to centralized online encyclopedias like wiki in the early 2000s, which are now considered personally reasonable, you advance or you stay behind. AI isnt even bad for the environment compared to TNCs' co2 output

only high iqs use AI to study by spamming questions like if they were in a class

It stops you from using the thinking processes that ai uses, decentralizing critical thinking and offloading it to someone else, you also consume less information

So yeah, it does make you less intelligent

exactly if you just ask the question and copy paste it you are retarded but if you ask the explanations of how to reach that answer, definitions and how to explain it to others you will understand better than you are in class

exactly, i said to my math teacher that ai could be used to personally help other students if he wasnt able to help them all at once, and he said only smart, capable people can effectively learn from ai, its iqpill again at the end of the day

I've only really started using it in the last 6 months. I can tell it's made me a lot more knowledgeable and will continue to.

"the thinking process" being gathering sources, anyone can filter through sources and sum them up, it just takes too much time, you make ai do the slave work, while you do the analysis and comprehension

high iq post, if you use AI right and not just for the correct answer you can learn alot in one sitting. It can explain most things better than you teacher and tailor it for individual needs.

yeah, but it is such a shortcut so much so it is irresistably tempting. but like you said, it makes you dependent.

think of it like, there was a button that made you %1 more muscular everytime you push it,
would you still go to gym and go through that hassle when you could do it with only the push of a button?
delayed gratification control, stronger identity, sense of control emotionally and mentally, patience, self efficacy, tolerance for discomfort... you'd miss out on all of these
