I asked both chatgpt and grok to identify an episode from an old tv show based on scenes and dialogue i remember. Both AI will give BS answers. They literally point to episode titles that don't even exist, get the wrong actor playing a character.

When you point to their error, they go "haha, you are right, i'm wrong". And proceed to make more errors.

There are people who ask serious questions and think these AI are reliable like an encyclopedia

JFL at companies firing 10k staff to replace them with a glorified autocorrect.

Companies will train models for specific tasks, it will not entirely replace jobs but offload much of the work.

Chat GPT and similar chat bots are going to be shit because they're designed for User Experience.

Yes it will be funny when every job is done incorrectly and poorly and everything starts falling apart and the managers realise everything from the past year or so is unreliable bullcrap.
Nobody is really checking the "AI", it's just being trusted to do the job properly in many places. Employees are also using it is that way. Everything is just full of junk trash that "AI" wrote or imagined.

It will only improve the productivity of workers.

Why have 3 engineers when you can have 1 + AI accomplish the same amount of work. The goal isn't to automate tasks, with current LLMs and their trajectories this will likely never be the case. You can use it to generate documentation or boilerplate code. It will assist a human at every step along the way. This is actually already being done by the way.
