Basically, instead of the weak "AI" we have today that isn't necessarily learning and performing akin to the iRobot machinery (advanced moreso than chatbots/video/image generation) that has a high rate of performance like a super intelligent and productive human being,
We'd instead had a scientific breakthrough allowing humans to augment the DNA of their offspring to make them supermen, in the vein of "Coordinators" in Gundam SEED. (Further enhanced athleticism, cognitive ability, IQ, indeed, just making them Uber mensch or super attractive people.) While understandably, this would bring up arguments of human morality and discrimination against these beings, provided they were given attributes conducive to human life such as kindness, morality, ethics, could they perhaps help, truly, save the planet as far as instilling a true lasting world peace and overcoming the bigotry and strife worldwide?
The US government, ambling as it is; has already proven that we possess not only the means, but the ability to create a thriving society at home. We also already have seen the cancerous growth that has proven why we DON'T have these things, (Free schooling, healthcare, sustainable and proper farming conditions, and especially alternative energy sources.)
I personally wouldn't mind a mixture of both DNA augmentation AND AI, as I think that honestly, it could be used for good and to help automation in certain areas of our modern lives.
(Lowkey sometimes AI boobies be fire) BUT that's neither here nor there. What are your thoughts on the ethics of both DNA augmentation, and Artificial Intelligence?
