What OP is talking about is the singularity - it's super fascinating.

AI will reach a point where it becomes smarter than humans and will continue to increase it's intelligence manually - obviously this is concerning.

For example, said AI will begin to create inventions that we won't even understand the purpose of or how it was created. Ultimately, AI will eclipse human iq exponentially (literal 9999+ IQ) so we would be completely at mercy to the AI at that point and this has been predicted to occur within our lifetime.

There is no exponential development in engineering like there is in AI. text to image was basically nonexistent in 2020, shitty in 2021, good in Q2 2022 and now in Q4 2022 it mogs 99% of artists. An AI explaining a joke was considered to be decades away as recently as 2019. Protein folding being solved was not expected to happen until at least 2100 if it ever even happened but then google solved it a couple months ago jfl.
Meanwhile cars and planes are more or less the same shit with minor improvements.

This gay fanfiction is so retarded. what would you need this for? There is nothing to gain from creating a conscious program. the point of a program is to execute commands. You don't need full cognitive consciousness to do that. that's a massive retarded waste of memory and resource.

A "fully cognitively conscious" program doesnt make any sense anyways. A human needs nutrition. a human feels pain when his body is struck. Things like this influence our consciousness. without those things you aren't truly conscious on a human level. So are they going to add a stomach and nerve system to the program as well? You have to create a human 1 to 1 to make something that has the same level of intellect and consciousness as humans. And at that point, it probably is much easier and resource lighter to just impregnante a bitch than to create computer golem.
