about 6 months to a year but most cases will have to get braces before surgery anyway

ask him, maybe he can squeeze you in if you have your orthodontoic treatment done already. but tbh there usually are delays, setbacks, etc. The only thing you can do if oyu want an appointmen fast is contact him asap.
