Algo Trading vs Discretionary Trading

Which one should retail traders use? It seems both of them are unprofitable for us.

Yeah both unprofitable but probs some long horizon trendfollowing trading system with rules… manual but systematic. If that makes sense. Or padded with some minimal automations.

But you’re not gonna be able to run some regime resistant algorithm in the markets as a retail guy
