based on what we know about entropic heat death of the universe, there is no logical incentive for breeding. doesn't matter if your genes propagate through the entirety of the universe, it can never outlast it.
almost everything we do is based on biological impulses, upon which we ascribe post hoc rational/logical justifications formed from current scientific knowledge or religious doctrine
pure logic is unable to adequately compel acts like reproduction. it is a purely biological act that exists outside the purview of human intellect.
this extends to anything that you cannot perceive after your death, like saving money for your kids.
i challenge anyone to provide a logical argument for reproducing.
btw i support instinct based living, i'm not anti natalist. but we have to acknowledge there is no rational argument for reproduction or much of the acts humans engage in
