I remember growing up in pre school days I felt so alienated and foreign to my peers to the point where I was never able to truly develop friendships outside of 1-2 people, I was diagnosed at around 5 for aspergers and I spent the vast majority of my life up until 14-15 to never speaking a single word to my peers or other people, opting to just give up on that and read in school or breaks, I was so socially unaware as a kid that when my parents forced 11 yr old me to invite some kid over for a hang out i just read a book and ignored them without realizing that was rude, things have changed for me obv and im more competent in this regard to the point where I can manage a relatively calm and normal social life but combined with my disorder and developmental experiences I will never truly feel or understand the vast majority of people due to being so off and feel a permanent disconnect between myself and most of my peers where it becomes extremely hard to develop a genuine honest connection making me a much more jaded and cynical person

What experiences? But most of the time being left out, making wrong decisions out of impulse

I was on a bus in 7th grade and this girl asked for a picture of my eyes which I agreed to
after that she sat next to me on the inward facing seat and she started talking to me
I was listening to 1 hour phonk compilation and so I turned my head the other way and raised the volume so much she could clearly hear it, she has never interacted with me again:lul:

I got diagnosed with adhd with 18 (only a few months ago), my whole school life since middle grade was absolute hell, i was always seeking for social confirmation. Since i am/was ugly asf i had to compensate this due to doing extremly weird things to gain the attention and dopamine that i needed. However this lead me to partially bullying others (which was really bad i know, i think nobody took me seriously atleast), which then again lead me to getting kicked out of my friend group, never getting invited and finally getting brutally humilated and extremly bad bullied by another insecure guy, that actully did horrible things to me (infrot of my old friend group that now saw me as the ultimate jester/loser) and only ex talking stage at this school. I think none of that would have happened if i wasnt ND (adhd) because i would never had to seek for that dopamine due to extreme ways.

I have a good LTR so I can connect with people but for thr vast majority I just do not connect with outside of online friends, and I can "mask" but it is largely useless as it only works for very surface level social interactions and ppl can clock you instantly

I actually got a lot of nt experiences like going to frat parties and having a nt social circle but I had to pay the price of getting bullied and disrespected whilst at it. Not worth it anymore, left that life behind to rot on this forum JFLL
