Might watch the video later but this is something I’ve thought for a while now. Because compared to 5-10 years ago the overall amount of sexual activity has gone way down and in that time political anger has gone way up. Shit that only legit basement dwellers would talk about is now totally mainstream. Twitter/X, TikTok, etc.

And if you know anyone who has gone down political rabbit holes, not just young men but other demographics as well, you can trace very clearly how they project their own personal problems onto political opinions. And this can make them very nasty to be around, put severe limits on what conversations you can have with them, ruin relationships and friendships. Of course they’re not having sex. And again, it’s not just young men having less sex nowadays, it’s just about everyone. We’re living in uniquely emotionally difficult times.
