I guess it goes to show That war really does bring change and development in society.
In war, people are forced to set aside their selfish interests and prioritize the greater good for their country and the safety of their families .You don't work when there's food on your plate and a roof over your head you work when there's enemy at the gates and people around you are dieing of hunger and disease. War forces change, and scientific revolution. That is the reason why europe was always ahead of the rest of the world in everything

Greenland's has a very small population, it is also relatively isolated from mainland europe.There also no valuable resources in. Greenland that would lead to territorial disputes.
