Agree somewhat with OP. An unpopular opinion on here but something that has explained so much in terms of irl dating for me, is that women's attraction to looks is not like ours, it's derivative, and really based on the status associated with her getting with that person. I'm not saying being tall, or having a Chad face, or being ripped, doesn't attract women. It does, but it isn't 'direct' like it is for men - I see a woman take a gym selfie showing off her great ass and I'm driven to fuck it, it directly makes me horny. Women go on dating apps and see gym selfies and it's such a big minus that Bumble will literally not let you upload one as the platform wants you to cater to women. Surely abs are abs and would be a positive for a woman regardless of how 'classy' the photo is?

Also if you have contextual status women sometimes seem like they're using parts of your looks as an excuse 'you have a nice jawline' 'you're in great shape' and so on, like a focusing on your 'positive qualities'. When you lose that contextual status, how much do they really simp over your jaw then? In my experience: not much.

A last example is look at ethnic minority women, if we're being honest, east and south asian, taking a white normie over a minority HTN+ (so common). They're not judging primarily based on height or facial features, it's about race, and it's an aspirational status thing.
