Nah I’ve been on a calorie deficit and my face and body look similar and my weight went down
 
Likely just water weight, but if it is actual loss in body fat than its only half a pound because every fat loss always starts with flushing out all the water retention in your body.

I’m trying to get from 23% body fat to 15%
Since your 20%+ body fat you are at less risk of losing muscle mass during a fast cut so aim to lose 2lbs of fat a week, and once you get below 20% is when you slow down the cut to losing only 1lb a week and if below 15% bf slow down to half a lb a week since your metabolic rate is very slow below 15% while chronic/long term cutting.
