E.g. let’s say you think a sub-5 male can’t get laid, and the person you’re debating keeps on bringing up examples of sub-5s who got laid. Not because they think exceptions prove the rule, but because they genuinely believe that what you view as exceptions aren’t exceptions.

What is the argument here? This is just a fundemental misunderstanding of statistics. For example the claim "men are taller than women" isn't obviously a 100% cut case, there are taller women out there. HOWEVER, we do know on AVG men are taller than women. It's like a bell curve really. There will be outliers and exceptions, but this doesn't disprove anything. It's just a case of natural variation
