I get told I look "completely average" on Reddit and even on here but these comments do not align with my irl experience of getting stared at and scaring children with my face and generally getting treated like a ogre everywhere I go

I'd say your face is pretty common, but I'm guessing it's your hairstyle paired with your sense of fashion that repulses people. You look creepy. You said it yourself. If you can make yourself look less creepy, you're good because while you're less than average, you're not subhuman.
