I said from 18-21, you don’t know which end of the spectrum you’ll be.
Even then any growth you’d get is minimal and negligible, keeping your hair would be better.

@Swarthy Knight if I feel like my hair is thinning should I just straightup start fin without any dermat consultation or whatsoever? Just find a reliable one and start using it , because rn i sometimes feel like my hair has thinned so should I just hop on fin

Never tried it so can't say for sure. But it should be safe for vast majority of ppl, based on all the studies that's been done. I would absolutely take it if I could go back in time

Can It be vit deficiencies? Cause i remember I was literally vit d deficient last year December and only recovered this past july August to optimal or high levels so maybe it's in the initial recovery mode that's why im not seeing some much progress?
Just asking man

@socio told me its just hair thinning

how do i fix this man its genuine ropefuel:feelswhy::feelswhy::feelswhy:
Yeah looks like it , especially if it follows the same pattern as your father.

Simply fixed since it’s not too bad with 1mg Fin daily + Oral or Topical Minoxidil daily.

Nah nah that's all cope. I believed that shit too back in 2016 jfl.

What you're thinking of is TE (telogen effluvium) which is a rare temporary thinning all over your scalp. If you're losing in MPB style, then it's simply androgenetic alopecia, and you have to hop on Fin and/or Min

So how do I find out it's telogen effluvium?

Side effects occur in less than 5% of subjects across varying studies all reaching the same consensus. If you get sides , simply deload your intake or stop completely if sides persist. Very very small chance of PFS ( post finasteride syndrome).

DHT is used for dick growth during puberty. After puberty testosterone takes on much of the same role as DHT does , varies person to person.

Examine the pattern of your hair loss. If you're losing in a typical horse shoe pattern (temple recession, thinning at the crown, but the sides and lower back are fine) then that means it's MPB.

TE is usually when you're diffuse thinning all over your scalp (front, back, sides), but the hairline remains intact

See, my hair on surface looks good but when I look properly I can clearly see it has thinned
My hairline is intact as far as i can see
But the thinning looks diffused as I can see some thin hair at the frontal part of my hair , back and sides, so i think it's TE
What's the main cause there and how does it stop

Can I use topical fin 40% if I'm concerned about sides and atleast to keep my current hair and for no further thinning..

I wouldn’t recommend because topical fin can give you sides too as it enters the bloodstream the same , just less likely with the lower quantity.

Instead you can just start on a lower dose of oral fin , for example 0.25 mg a day or every other day and assess if you are still losing hair.

Both have the same effect , it’s just the latter is easier. You wanna find the minimum dose of fin that allows you to keep your hair basically.

I’ve been on 1mg + 5% topical minox daily for a year now , and I’ve stopped all hair loss and regrown a small amount.

So do I keep testing different fin types ?

No I would start with a low dose like 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg daily if you are seriously worried about sides. Give it about 6 months to see if your hair loss has stabilised. If you get sides at any point , simply hop off or lower dose.

I'll just start using 0.25 mg fin or 0.5 mg(just fin though ,not minoxidil) randomly on my own without any dermat, I think of doing that instead of going to sum dermat

Depending where you live you may need a prescription from a pharmacist/doctor.
