Am I ethnic if I am Turkish

My parents are Turks from Bulgaria and I have blueish green eyes and my friends in America say I am American white but my Indian friend says I am not.
I do not mind being ethnic as I like my culture and think being a minority is nice in America.

Why does it matter if you're white or not. Turks belong to the Indo-European race. If you have light eyes and hair then you will probably be white-passing. Look at Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ.
