am i fucked if i get braces

15 rn with good jaw bad ish teeth and i think i might be fucked if i get braces idk what to do

if i have to get braces should i get invisalign or just regular braces

braces bring your teeth to where they shouldve grown in the first place. from my knowledge, theyre only bad when u get extractions because they can limit forward growth. if u get braces and no extractions, you will actually look better and more symmetrical. if you have any mild bone asymmetry then they will use rubber bands to hide it as well as align the bite, so u dont have to get a surgery or live with the small asymmetry. if u have to get extractions, try get a palate expander instead beforehand. ive heard stuff about damon braces where they straighten and expand at the same time, but im not too familiar with them. they also cost more than traditional full metal. invisalign is bad because the orthodontist has less control over ur progress. u have to wear all the time and u will probably forget to put back in. invisalign is more money. js get full metal or damon and then forget.

money isn’t really a problem but there will def be some extractions i think
