In life, I always do things because they’ll benefit me in the long run
At the gym, a woman couldn’t figure out how the machine work, so I deliberately helped her—because she was pretty, and I figured she’d think of me as a considerate person, which would probably leave a good impression for next time. What if she’d been ugly? I would never have looked at her; I would have pretended to be focused on my phone or my workout.
When someone needs help in general? I do it because it draws attention to me, or because I need validation
What's the point of doing something if you don't really get anything in return? Who seriously does that?
