I am 22, still got 2 more years of uni, and am doing really well, have a good internship etc but I'm single rn.

My life pretty much is gym, uni, studying language and work, I feel depressed seeing other people my age with girlfriends partying and having fun. I can get a girlfriend if I tried but I just can't be fucked having to settle for below my looksmatch plus deal with the other drama that comes with it.

But I feel depressed especially on weekends when I'm not doing anything and feel like I'm wasting my prime years.

The field of work I'm planning on getting into involves shift work, essentially I spend 1 week away working 12 hr days for a week straight but then I get a week off and I know many people who spend that time in Bali etc so I could geomax/. Its called FIFO mining google it wdyt?

I'm in the same situation as you, except I just go to uni and rot at home (I was more or less social before, but I got depressed and haven't been able to recover). But yeah, we're both wasting our "best" years.

You will probably look back.

If you try it and find out that it isn't fun for you, then its fine.

But if you don't try it at all then you will probably regret that.

Don't you have any friends at uni that can take you along?

It depends. If all your friends are going to a party, you might be missing out on some good memories. It also depends on if you're the type that likes partying and if you have friends that also do. You should try to travel as others have mentioned, even if it is solo.
