Talked with some guy from Germany today he said he was White and he clearly looked Turkish. Its like people identify as White is they have any traits resembling one.

White in itself is a very changing category

Here in Europe ppl don’t usually see white but just European in general

White is an American term originally used to describe only British ppl since even Germans weren’t white to them

White to me means European I do consider Italians or Slavs White although there are better Whites if that makes sense.

There is White in a cultural sense phenotype and then on a genetic level these all of course overlap to form our conception of what Whites are

It’s true tho white has always changed it’s more of an American term

Nowadays some zoomers in Europe say white sometimes due to American culture but in Europe there was never this way of describing ppl

It’s usually this guys Italian this one’s German and this one’s french

Yeah fair enough I mean White exists on a more global scale. I would say I am a White American. A German would just say they are German because its already implied they are White but in America its not.

Problem with white is it’s a changing term

Benjamin Franklin used it to describe only British ppl he said himself Germans were of a swarthy complexion and Italians weren’t seen as white till very recently

Irish ppl as well were called white niggers

Point is there’s so real permanent way of describing white ppl
