I often see people in corporate settings stuffing the chest pockets of their dress shirts with all sorts of things.cheap plastic pens, cash, keychains, and more. It looks sloppy and unprofessional. The worst offenders are those who treat that pocket like a catch-all drawer with stained pockets with stitching coming off.

Personally I prefer dress shirts without a pocket at all for a cleaner look. But if the shirt does have one at least keep it minimal. A sleek metal fountain pen is fine but no need of overloading it. Use your pant pockets or a briefcase for the rest. A cluttered chest pocket ruins the sharpness of your appearance and gives off the wrong impression.
