It’s crazy how intel went from being pretty much your only option, to being a shit option

This is why I chose a ryzen processor over an intel a.k.a incel one for my gaming pc since it’s a lot faster and reliable.

Even better my MacBook Pro has the M4 chip which is actually faster than my desktop computer lol.

like Intel is legit shitting itself so i guess its not like there is great competition, but the most new AMD's CPU are great

Intel still has the highest market share but they are losing it quickly and the current gen AMD CPUs are all superior compared to intel the only reason they are staying afloat is because of them being a legacy manafacturer and data centers being reluctant to switch.

I know a guy who spend 5000 $ on a laptop and he was pissed cuz the CPU is a Core 9 with 3 nm

How exactly did Intel fuck up so badly ? I remember when there was a huge push to move towards AMD but never understood why.

It was stuck on 14nm. Intel's 10nm process was supposed to launch in 2015 but it got stuck in development hell for 6 years. While AMD and TSMC crushed the competition with 7nm and 5nm nodes. Being at the top and being a monopoly made them too lazy @Luca_.
