Had some family recently tell me I'm dumb for planning a trip to Latin America and that I should stay in 1st world countries like the USA.

Meanwhile all these boomer white people live in gated communities with security guards. Even Africa is nice in specific areas in the USA if you have money its 1st world but if you live in shitty areas it might as well be as dangerous as any Eastern European block country.

Its always the boomers in their gated communities who talk about how great the USA is meanwhile they would never leave their bubbles to see how disgusting this country has become. Anywhere is nice if you have money from Africa to the USA.

Yes, it's extremely weird to not go on holidays atleast 1-2 times per year even as a college kid.

Yeah if I fly somewhere I try to stay as long as possible because the flight alone is a grand or 2 so I would fly to Latin America for a month to chill rather then for a week.

Hopefully flights go down gas crisis really fucked the prices
