Rule by committee of patchworked fragmented ethnic grievances, I don’t think, will ever produce ‘art,’ but something voluptuous and smarmy, like your typical ode to an elusive shiksa gf, just might (and it did, we already know it).
Even with something like the Schindler’s List, you can still go back to it and enjoy it for what it truly is: a deeply anti-Semitic slapstick comedy–after all, the Holocaust itself was just a vaudeville with corpses and anachronistic Rego Park accents sewn-in.
